In 1996, arena rock superstars Journey put the band back together to record their tenth studio album, Trial by Fire. Shortly after the release of this reunion album lead singer and signature voice, Steve Perry injured himself while training for what was to be a high energy road show. With Steve Perry unable to perform, the Trial by Fire tour became “the tour that never happened”. Imagine if Steve Perry had never injured himself on that fateful day. What would the Trial by Fire tour look like?
Flash forward to the present. TRIAL BY FIRE is born out of the hearts of five seasoned North Carolina – based musicians who have decided to answer that question. It is their vision to bring that 1996 tour to Journey fans across the country… to embrace the sound and visuals of the Steve Perry era of Journey.

It’s exhausting walking to all of the shops and artists galleries in Jerome. The best way we know of to “take a load off” is to listen to Jerome favorites, Johnny Lingo Trio.
The legendary Lingo Trio will be playing at the Spirit Room. Headed up by John Ziegler, vocals and guitar, Dave Rentz on percussion and backing vocals with Curt Burnette rounding out the trio with his amazing banjo & mandolin.
Do yourself a favor if you haven’t heard this amazing trio and join us.
Filabusta consists of remarkable musicians, Kenny James, Mike Kreidel, Lorin McLain & Jon Hust. One fan says “it’s like James Brown and Jimi Hendrix having lunch with the Isley Brothers at Stevie Wonder’s house listening to Jerry Garcia cover a Bob Marley song”. Filabusta is a regular on the festival circuit, playing shows throughout the Southwest. The band has gained popularity quickly by playing their distinct blend of original rock, blues and funk . Their live show is full of energy and the dance floor is always packed when Filabusta is playing.
Ron Chilston is a local keyboard player and hosts our open mic’s once a month. Ron has been playing the piano off and on since the age of 7. After spending 20 years in the Phoenix area and playing with a number of bands, he grew weary of the crime, pollution, traffic and the millions of people who shared living space in the Valley of the Sun. It was time to move North and take life easy. Ending up in Jerome was a happy coincidence that he is very grateful for.
Ron plays keyboards in a local trio called Mountain Stranded Time with local legend John Zieglar and Vocalist extraordinaire, Jill Wood.
Bring your guitar, bass, kazoo, voice or whatever you may have handy and join us in bringing some of Verde Valley musicians up for a jam.
Join our mistress of Trivia Miss Jessican and prepare to get your mind trivially expanded!
