He’s Back! Well, at least for a host gig and the Hold my Beer Band performance on Friday the 13th. Ron Chilston lived here from 2005 into the pandemic years. Ron is a keyboardist who will open with a couple of tunes then will coordinate all of the signups to perform. Ask him to sit in and I bet he will! Well, as long as he knows the tune you wish to play.
Ron and the Hold my Beer Band return every 6 months to perform here on the Spirit Room stage.

They’re Back! The Hold my Beer Band is a band that features the father/son duo of Frank & Rocky Martinez. They hold down most of the lead vocals along with bass player Scott McMullen and drummer Mark Garris. Ron Chilston is the keyboardist and adds harmonies occasionally, when he remembers. Anyone that has frequented the Spirit Room bar, especially locals, will know Ron as that photographer guy that was also a firefighter/EMT in Jerome and played the keys.
This should be an extra special evening in Jerome as it is also FRIDAY the THIRTEENTH! What? We’re winding down the clock to Halloween in Jerome, one of the busiest times of the year.

Born in the Verde Valley of Arizona, The Invincible Grins fuse eclecticism with unbridled enthusiasm, creating a unique and danceable style of sweaty rock and roll. Marrying strong and original songwriting with undeniable groove, the Grins draw inspiration from such artists as Tom Waits, Woody Guthrie, Andrew Bird, Talking Heads, Morphine, and Goran Bregovic, and have also been accused of sounding like “Gogol Bordello meets Fleetwood Mac.” Their music has been described as “funked-up folk”, “Gypsybilly”, and simply, “…like fun!” No matter what moniker is applied, one thing is for sure: The Invincible Grins are upbeat music for a beat up world. They remind you to have a drink and dance. Take it easy. Brace yourself. Everything’s gonna be alright!
Open mic at the Spirit Room is back! Look for a rotating lineup of local hosts as well as local musicians, ready to make some music on the famous Spirit Room stage. From 7-10 you can catch live music, your favorite cocktail, draft or bubbly beverage and hand out with your friends! Thursdays are usually a night when the locals come out. When we say locals, we’re talking about musicians from Prescott, Sedona, Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Flagstaff & the Phoenix area. We have heard some amazing touring musicians who just happen to be passing through. Frizzy and Edgy are two talented local Jerome musicians and they will amaze you with the depth of their musicianship. Sally has been singing since an early age and has been in numerous bands and projects. With her on bass, her husband joins her with harmonies and guitar.
