He’s Back! Well, at least for a host gig and the Hold my Beer Band performance on Friday the 13th. Ron Chilston lived here from 2005 into the pandemic years. Ron is a keyboardist who will open with a couple of tunes then will coordinate all of the signups to perform. Ask him to sit in and I bet he will! Well, as long as he knows the tune you wish to play.
Ron and the Hold my Beer Band return every 6 months to perform here on the Spirit Room stage.
We hope to see you at open mic with your kazoo, mouth harp, flute or mandolin! Whatever your instrument, (especially if it’s your voice), come on out to the Spirit Room and sign up for your open mic spot on the World-Famous Spirit Room stage! Who knows what may happen in these three hours . . . musically anyway!
They’re Back! The Hold my Beer Band is a band that features the father/son duo of Frank & Rocky Martinez. They hold down most of the lead vocals along with and drummer Ted Fernandes. Ron Chilston is the keyboardist holding down a bass line and another instrument on his Roland Synth and adds harmonies occasionally. Anyone that has frequented the Spirit Room bar, especially locals, will know Ron as that photographer guy that was also a firefighter/EMT in Jerome and played the keys.
